  Desire Factor™ (DF)

The Desire Factor™ is PCN's proprietary method of ranking cars based on their overall appeal. The Desire factor is based on an average of PCN's Fun Factor™ and Luxury Rating™. Both of these metrics are calculated using an comprehensive formula that is 85% objective and 15% subjective. This metric ranges from 0-100. Higher numbers are better.

  Fun Factor™ (FF)

The Fun Factor™ is a statistical and qualitative measure of how fun it is to drive a particular car. Fun Factor is computed by weighing a car's acceleration, handling, design, aesthetics, prestige, and intangibles. This metric ranges from 0-100. Higher numbers are better.

  Luxury Rating™ (LR)

The Luxury Rating™ gauges a car's comfort, quality, technology and cache. Evaluation is made of a car's workmanship, materials, components, interior amenities, ride, and available features. This metric ranges from 0-100. Higher numbers are better.

  Dollars For Desire™ (DFD)

A measure of how much you'll pay for each unit of "Desire." It is calculated as follows: Base Price / DF. Lower numbers are better--unless money is no object.
